Yana Diachenko

Yana Diachenko is a highly accomplished Olympic weightlifter, coach, and competitive CrossFit athlete with an elite-level career spanning over a decade.

Representing Ukraine on the international stage from 2006 to 2016, she was a longstanding member of the Ukrainian National Team and a 10+ time National Champion. Yana holds Ukrainian records in the 48 kg weight category, with an 84 kg snatch and a 99 kg clean & jerk.

Her international accolades include silver and bronze medals at the European Youth Championships (2006, 2007), back-to-back European U23 Championship titles (2012, 2013), and podium finishes at the European Championships—silver in 2013, bronze in the snatch (2014), and bronze in the clean & jerk (2015). Yana also earned top-15 finishes at the World Championships three years in a row, placing as high as 5th in 2013.

Transitioning into CrossFit, Yana brought her strength and competitive edge to the sport, earning 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishes in the pound-for-pound category of the CrossFit Liftoff. She also dominated local Canadian competitions, taking 1st place at the Western Canadian Championships, the Ogopogo Weightlifting Championships, and the Island Invitational, where she was named Best Overall Female Athlete.

Now a certified NCCP Weightlifting Coach, Yana brings over seven years of coaching experience in Olympic and CrossFit. She is passionate about helping athletes of all levels reach their full potential through expert technique, disciplined training, and support.

At Engineered Bodies, Yana coaches adults and is responsible for club programming.
